A "Feast from the Heart" is an exciting opportunity for you to support the SHOW campaign. We would like you to host your own event. It could be any gathering - dinner, lunch, a coffee or cocktail party, a summer barbeque at the cottage, a birthday party or Canada Day celebration - in your own home. Invite your friends, family, neighbours, business colleagues to join you for a "Feast from the Heart" and ask those who attend to make a donation to help the less fortunate in our community.

Why Do Something About Homelessness?

"Homelessness severely reduces an individual's quality of life as the daily grind of street life takes its toll. Studies have shown that people experiencing homelessness are more likely to die younger and have significantly poorer physical and mental health than their housed counterparts.

The cost of doing nothing about homelessness is very expensive. In fact institutional and emergency responses to homelessness are roughly ten times more expensive than residential-based care (even when stacked with support)."
